Catharacta Skua

Description:

Catharacta skua is a seabird species belonging to the Stercorariidae family. Also known as the skua or great skua, it has a robust build and powerful flight. With a length of about 53–61 cm (21–24 in), it is one of the larger seabirds in the Arctic region. The catharacta skua has a dark brown or blackish plumage, marked with white patches on the wings and a yellowish base of the bill.
